Octagon Finance was established in 2017 by Paul Winteridge, a passionate and respected professional within the insurance and financial services space. Our aim is to bring a dose of humanity to the mortgage and lending process with straight-talking financial sense that you can trust.
A member of The Chartered Insurance Institute, The Society of Mortgage Professionals and The Personal Finance Society, Paul has over 20 years’ experience of working in the sector and has been active in the Jersey lending market since 2008.

Paul Winteridge
Paul has more than 20 years’ experience in the Finance industry and a wealth of knowledge across the full spectrum of mortgage products.
His expertise includes: residential and buy-to-let funding, high-net-worth lending, debt consolidation, peer to peer lending, personal protection, life assurance, income protection and critical illness.
Privately-owned and with in-house expertise, Octagon Finance is not tied to any specific products or services and have different lending criteria to other finance providers. As a result, we are able to match clients’ requirements to what’s available on the market, rather than steering clients to specific products.
Paul is not only a qualified mortgage adviser, but is also qualified as an independent financial adviser and a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute and The Society of Mortgage Professionals.
Tiago Silva
Tiago's skill in organisation has made him a valuable addition to the Octagon Finance team. With a background in retail management as well as bookkeeping, Tiago's role at Octagon Finance is to ensure the company continues to run smoothly and deliver excellent customer service, handling all the paperwork and liaising with clients to keep them up to date throughout the mortgage or loan application and approval process. He also speaks three languages fluently; Portuguese, Spanish and French.
Tiago's personal skills and friendly character mean that he's involved with client applications from the very first steps, keeping people in contact through every stage and helping them achieve their goals. He explains: "It's more than just a job for us, what we do for people is sometimes life-changing, and it's always so rewarding to help make their dreams come true."
